Helen was the founder Chairman when the Club was started in the early 1990s and has been on the Committee more or less continuously in one capacity or another since then.It was a steep learning curve!   The pony was swiftly followed by a horse that they both could ride, and once her daughter had left home for university, travelling, jobs, marriage and baby, Helen took over full time.Now she is no longer working more time can be devoted to the current horse, Peachy, a 14.2 skewbald mare, with whom she has a lot of fun.  They take part in jumping and flat work clinics with the riding club and benefit from the friendly and supportive environment created by the riding club, and from the top-class instructors used. They also enjoy pleasure rides and Le Trec.

About Emma: Emma has focused on Eventing since leaving pony club and has two horses; Rio who is at 1star level and a youngster called Zorro that will start competing in 2011. She has previously ridden to International 2* level and also at the Novice and Intermediate National Championships at Gatcombe Park on her former horse, Follow The Bear, who is now owned by Florence Kerry-Smith, the club’s secretary.

Being a member of the club has enabled me to get to the finals last year at Royal Windsor

She is now pleased to manage our finances!
